Our Walk & Rally is just two weeks away, and we need your help to raise funds and bring awareness to youth homelessness!

On any given night there are about 1,800 youth without a safe place to stay here in America’s Finest City. More troubling is that over 18,000 students in grades K to12 experience homelessness in San Diego County.

Youth often find themselves experiencing homelessness as a result of abuse in the home, domestic violence or substance abuse by a parent, and/or unstable living conditions due to parental incarceration, illness or death.

In addition to these youth not having safe, stable and secure housing, they are at high risk for:

• Victimization by predators, including human trafficking/commercial sexual exploitation of children
• Alcohol and drug use
• Mental health problems
• Physical health problems
• School failure and dropout

We have a crisis in San Diego with thousands of youth experiencing homelessness every year, but there is hope! At San Diego Youth Services, we offer emergency and support services, safe places to live and long-term solutions for kids “on their own” by providing shelter, foster homes, community centers and transitional housing.
