SDYS Awards $120,000 to Staff

SDYS Awards $120,000 to Staff January 24, 2024

In 2023, San Diego Youth Services was chosen as one of the grantees of the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) Community-Based Organization Behavioral Health Workforce Grant Program.

The grant provides SDYS with a 3 year grant that goes to recruit, retain, train and educate our behavioral workforce staff.

For 2023, SDYS awarded $120,000 to 19 staff that went to Undergraduate Educational Scholarships, Clinical Master and Doctoral Graduate Education Stipend and Educational Loan Repayments. We expect to give out that amount and more for 2024 and 2025! See an overview of staff benefits.

Staff that are interested in these programs must submit applications and will be considered on the basis of tenure, experience in the field, and licensures.

We are so proud to be an HCAI grantee and be able to assist our staff in their educational goals!
