San Diego Youth Services Hosts Walk & Rally to Shine a Light on Youth Homelessness
Event takes place Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. at City Hall
San Diego, Calif (Nov. 5, 2025) – San Diego Youth Services will host its annual Walk & Rally to End Youth Homelessness on Friday, Nov. 7 at 2 p.m., uniting community members, local leaders and youth advocates to raise awareness and inspire action around youth homelessness in San Diego County. This year, San Diego Youth Services has set an ambitious goal to raise $100,000 to support programs that provide shelter, safety and life-changing services for young people experiencing homelessness.
“More than 1,500 youth in San Diego have no safe place to sleep tonight,” said Jonathan Castillo, CEO of San Diego Youth Services. “The Walk & Rally gives our community a chance to stand together, to show our youth that they are not invisible and that we are committed to helping them find hope and stability.”
Participants will gather at City Hall to walk in solidarity, followed by a rally featuring remarks from local leaders, including Mayor Todd Gloria, and stories of resilience from youth who have benefited from San Diego Youth Services programs.
Founded in 1970, San Diego Youth Services empowers youth to reach their full potential by providing safe places to live and long-term support. The organization offers over 30 programs addressing homelessness, mental health, substance use, human trafficking and other challenges faced by vulnerable youth.
Community members are encouraged to register, donate, or form a team at https://sdyouthservices.donordrive.com.
