$10,000 Grant from PEERS Network

$10,000 Grant from PEERS Network October 19, 2020

SDYS receives a $10,000 grant from PEERS Network

The PEERS Network chose San Diego Youth Services for their Philanthropy Day, donating $10,000 and assembling 20 baskets for youth moving out of homelessness and into their own homes. Each basket consisted of all the necessities you need when moving into a first home, like bed sheets, pillows, cleaning supplies and kitchen tools. These are also all items our youth would otherwise not be able to purchase on their own. Because of PEERS Network's generosity, our youth will have all of the items they need to create a first home for themselves.

Last year, there were more than 1,500 homeless youth with the numbers increasing during COVID-19. San Diego Youth Services' Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project is working hard to move youth out of homeless shelters and into more permanent housing.
