Children, teens and young adults in our programs often are struggling just to have their basic needs met. By making a donation of an item from their wish lists, you'll be making a direct, positive impact on a young person in our community.

Greatest Needs Fund

Donate to our Greatest Needs Fund, where your financial gift will be applied to the area most critically needed to serve our youth.

Youth Emergency Shelter

All items purchased from this wish list will directly support youth experiencing homelessness. These children and young adults are typically 12-24 years old and are living in shelters, on the streets, in unstable housing or in temporary living accommodations.

TAY Academy

All items purchased from this wish list will support transition age youth (ages 14-25) who visit our drop-in day center to receive food, take showers, use computers, speak with mental health specialists and receive other supportive services.

Foster Care

All items purchased from this wish list will go to a youth in the foster system. Kids are placed in the foster care system by the child welfare system due to unsafe or unstable living conditions in their home. Our foster families ensure children can heal and find permanency.

Give a Gift Card Help youth access essential items

A gift card is actually one of the most useful items for a youth to receive as it allows them to meet basic needs like:

  • groceries like fruit, vegetables or instant meals
  • hygiene items like shampoo, soap and tampons
  • warm clothes in their size like socks, sweaters and shoes
  • laundry detergent
  • other essentials

Sponsor or Cater an Event

Another impactful way to help support our services for youth is to throw a gala, golf tournament, walk/run, auction or other community event in honor of San Diego Youth Services. We will provide you with all the marketing materials you need to publicize your event.
