Day for Change Gives $7,000

Categories: Community Support

We are honored to be a Day for Change grant recipient for the fifth year!

Day For Change

The $7,000 grant will help us continue providing safe, affordable housing and comprehensive support services to Transition Age Youth (TAY) ages 16-25 who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless.

This past year, we provided 253 TAY with temporary housing at one of our Transitional Living Communities. These communities are in safe neighborhoods around the county, accessible to public transportation, and have on-site residential managers available to the youth 24 hours a day for emergencies and support. Our TAY Academy is also a one-stop shop, combining a safe, inclusive, youth-led drop-in center with resources and services.

Founded by leading financial management professionals in San Diego County, Day for Change provides grants to local, non-profit organizations that effectively serve and benefit abused, neglected and disadvantaged children.
