Creations in Chocolate Raises Record $114,000

Suzy Spafford, Illustrator and Creator of Suzy’s Zoo, and 200 guests joined San Diego Youth Services this month for our 13^th Annual Creations in Chocolate event at Liberty Station.

Together, we raised more than $114,000 to help save the lives of young people throughout San Diego County.

The March 14 event, sponsored by HMT Electric, featured Spafford as Special Guest and 10 of the best Master Pastry Chefs and Chocolatiers in San Diego. The Chefs design magnificent chocolate sculptures up to 3 feet in height and bring their best chocolate creations for guests to eat as part of the annual fundraiser.

Thank you to Master of Ceremonies Allie Wagner from KUSI, our sponsors, our Chocolatiers, the many businesses that donated to our auction, our guests and all of you who helped make the annual gala such a success.

Creations in Chocolate has now raised more than $1.1 million for homeless, runaway, abused and other at-risk youth and their families. Last year, San Diego Youth Services helped more than 23,000 youth and their families.
