Below are ways you can access food, financial support, mental health services and more from other community organizations.

Local Information Hubs

  • 2-1-1 San Diego: 2-1-1 San Diego is a free, 24/hr confidential phone service and searchable online database for services
  • LiveWell @ HomeLiveWell @ Home is a free resource from Live Well San Diego to help community residents find tips and strategies to stay healthy in both mind and body while staying at home.
  • Mental Health Support:  Mental health resources and self-care tools compiled by the County of San Diego for parents, families and caregivers.

Community Food Resources

Youth, infant – 18:

Any youth 18 or younger can receive food at dozens of schools throughout San Diego County. These are packed meals to take away during the school closures. See an updated list of sites and details from the County of San Diego Office of Education.

Feeding San Diego offers special meal distributions for children and teens at sites across San Diego County. Free meals are available for children Monday through Friday and at one site on Saturdays. Some sites also offer boxed dry goods and staple items. Visit feedingsandiego.org or call (858) 452-3663.

Get help buying food while schools are closed. COVID-19 Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits are available for CA families with students who received free or reduced-price meals before schools closed. Learn more at ca.p-ebt.org
