San Diego Youth Services offers training throughout the year on diverse topics, including Trauma-Informed Care, Suicide Prevention, Motivational Interviewing and Seeking Safety. Classes are open to all staff, volunteers and members of the community. All classes can be used for continuing education units.

This is a intermediate level training on Motivational Interviewing. Intermediate Motivational Interviewing will teach skills to motivate clients to achieve goals. Please attend Basic Motivational Interviewing before the intermediate class so you can build on your foundation.

AATBS MFT & SW Licensing Exam Prep

Prepare for the MFT and LCSW Licensing Exams. This training is presented by the Association for Advanced Training in the Behavioral Sciences (AATBS). This training will cover the format of the licensing exams after changes that begun in 2016. Advice on how to study and prepare for the exam. Sample study materials will be handed out to all participants. Test preparation materials will be available at special prices only offered that day.
